I am an educator, trained storyteller, and writer. I am currently working on a bilingual literacy project to develop an intervention program using storytelling in lieu of practice testing. As a former Dual Language teacher, I used storytelling as an intervention and had successful results with my struggling readers on state assessments. My goal is to be able to replicate the program at other schools. I am also available to perform storytelling at schools, libraries, and other events. I am able to perform in English or Spanish.

I would like to thank Thenisha Smith from the Fort Worth Public Library Youth Services Department for inviting me to perform this weekend in honor of Hispanic Heritage Month.  I will be performing at the following libraries at these scheduled times:

Southwest Regional  Library (4001 Library Lane): Saturday, 10/12/19 10:30-11:30 AM

eSkills Library & Job Center (2800 Stark Street): Saturday, 10/12/19 4:00-5:00 PM

Central Library Youth Center (500 W 3rd Street): Sunday, 10/13/19 3:00-4:00 PM

I look forward to performing for the Fort Worth Community!

I want to thank the El Paso Museums and Cultural Affairs Department for awarding me a grant that will allow me to tell “Scary Stories” at five venues this fall.

If you know a library or school within the El Paso city limits who is interested in a one-hour storytelling performance, have them “Contact Mi!”

I want to thank all the ladies who came out to my House Concert this past Friday, June 7. I really appreciate your support. I hope you were able to learn more about storytelling as a performance art and the purpose of establishing a storytelling guild/center in El Paso.
